184 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he will publish the baseline document; and the plans, if any, he has to publish the annual workplan prepared by his Department in the context of the national anti-poverty strategy. [16698/98]
As part of the development of the national anti-poverty strategy — NAPS — each Department was asked to draw up a baseline document which would set out the key issues relating to social inclusion and poverty in so far as its remit is concerned and examine objectives and effectiveness of policies, constraints and possible cross-cutting issues. My Department's baseline document is currently being typeset and will be published before the end of July. The issue of the publication of other Departments' baseline documents is a matter for those Departments.
There are no plans to publish my Department's 1998 NAPS workplan which is, effectively, a subset of the Department's overall business plan, but copies of it may be made available upon request.
