Ceist:211 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if two land registry dealings will be expedited for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [16733/98]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the first dealing referred to by the Deputy is an application under section 49, i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 6 April 1998. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of the applicant's claim for registration as owner, take some time to process.
I am further informed that the second dealing referred to by the Deputy, involving a Land Commission Schedule, was recently completed and notice of completion will issue to the applicant shortly.
