299 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if national lottery funding of £45,000 will be approved for the Western Alzheimer's Foundations respite home (details supplied) which has not received any funding from his Department in 1998. [18586/98]
I would like to inform the Deputy that my Department received an application for a grant from the 1998 health allocation of national lottery funds from the Western Alzheimer Foundation on 13 August 1998.
This application for funding towards the provision of respite care to Alzheimer patients in the Western Health Board area is one of many still under consideration for a grant from my Department. The organisation will be informed as soon as a decision has been made.
