343 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans, if any, he has to introduce noise regulations in respect of car alarms which are an increasing nuisance in residential areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18281/98]

I refer to the reply to Question No. 215 of 28 April 1998 on this issue. I have no proposals to make specific regulations in respect of noise arising from car alarms.
