358 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans, if any, there are to assist persons building their own homes with the exorbitant costs involved in installing the puraflow system in cases where the puraflow system is cited as a condition of planning. [18585/98]

There are no proposals to provide assistance towards the cost of installing a puraflow system in cases where it is cited as a condition of planning permission. It has never been the practice of the Department to provide assistance to persons to comply with the conditions of planning permission.
