408 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Education and Science if he could confirm that the grant aid available to an organisation (details supplied) has been cut by over 3 per cent for 1998; the reason this cutback has been implemented in view of the excellent work this organisation does in the community and the opportunities for the development of personal wellbeing that this organisation offers to its members; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that there was no cut in the allocation to the organisation referred to by the Deputy. The grant for 1998 is £233,000. The grant for 1997 was £233,000 with an additional once-off grant of £5,000 made available towards the costs involved in the employment of a temporary administrator for housing an International Camp.
