112 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Taoiseach the average weekly industrial wage and the number of hours worked for each of the years from 1985 to 1998. [18131/98]

The average gross weekly earnings and average hours worked per week of industrial workers on adult rates of pay in manufacturing industries for each of the years from 1985 to 1997 — the latest year for which an annual average figure is available — are as follows:——
