129 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will outline the lands in Blessington, County Wicklow, north of the N81, which were transferred to Coillte by forestry services. [18673/98]
I understand that 72 acres of land in the area referred to by the Deputy were sold to Roadstone Ltd. by the then Minister for Lands under an agreement dated 21 January 1974. Registration of these lands was not completed at the time by Roadstone Ltd. and remained registered in the name of the State. To facilitate the completion of the registration process by Roadstone Ltd., the State's nominal interest in the lands was transferred to Coillte Teo. under section 39 of the Forestry Act, 1988.
