114 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she will provide and ensure the provision of a £20 million annual subvention to CIE upon which provision depends the success of the Dublin Transportation Office action plan for additional buses and rail services. [19744/98]
I refer the Deputy to my replies to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 71, 84 and 122 on 30 September 1998 in which I dealt with the question of funding in respect of the implementation of the recommendations contained in the DTO short-term action plan. Those recommendations for which funding has not already been provided will be considered by Government as part of the Estimates-budget process. The DTO action plan recommended an additional £14 million in annual subvention.
