Ceist:71 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on reports in a magazine (details supplied) that Allied Irish Banks gave false information to the Revenue Commissioners regarding the extent of bogus non-residential accounts, thereby evading tax liability to the State; the extent, if any, to which the Revenue Commissioners agreed to write off tax legally due in respect of these bogus accounts; if he has satisfied himself with the role of his Department, the Revenue Commissioners and the Central Bank at the relevant time; and the progress, if any, made in the review initiated by the Revenue Commissioners following earlier media disclosures on non-resident accounts.
