Written Answers. - Music Board.
I have received a proposal from the music industry group of IBEC in relation to how best a music board might be established, bearing in mind the recommendation in the FORTE report that the board would be on a partnership basis funded jointly by the Government and the music industry. I had hoped to discuss this proposal with the group before now but these discussions had to be postponed at the request of the group. A meeting is now scheduled for 2 November to discuss this proposal and to work towards reaching broad agreement on a possible structure that could be put to Government for consideration.
