416 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to situation of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who is having difficulties in enrolling in a secondary school in the area, having proceeded from a special class in national school; the steps, if any, he is taking to ensure that suitable education is provided for this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am aware of the situation of the person in question.

My Department is liaising with schools in the area in order to secure a suitable placement for this person. Every effort is being made to ensure that he resumes his formal education as soon as possible.
