115 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Finance the number of advertisements placed in the public press for accommodation for a driving test centre in County Mayo; the dates on which advertisements appeared; the closing date for receipt of replies; and the newspapers in which advertisements were placed. Two advertisements were placed in the public press seeking accommodation for a driving test centre in Castlebar, County Mayo. One of the advertisements was placed in the Western People and the other was placed in the Connaught Telegraph.
The advertisements appeared on 26 August 1998. The Connaught Telegraph reran the advertisement inadvertently on 9 September. The closing date for receipt of replies was the 11 September 1998.
