Vol. 496 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tax Clearance Certificates.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

116 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax clearance certificate or assessment will issue for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22305/98]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they have no record of an application form for a tax clearance certificate currently awaiting attention in respect of the person concerned.

Should the person concerned require a tax clearance certificate for the purpose of payment of a public sector grant or the award of a public sector contract or licence, he may obtain the appropriate application form from the relevant Government Department or public body. The completed form should then be submitted to the tax clearance unit, Collector-General's Office, Sarsfield House, Limerick, who will arrange to have a decision on the application issued without delay.
