156 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Defence the television companies, if any, which use his Department's facilities or properties for filming purposes; if his Department receives remuneration for this use; and the areas used in this regard. [22998/98]
Various television and film companies have used military barracks and installations nationwide for film making purposes. The installations used depended on the requirements of each individual film producer.
The Deparment, in line with the Government's commitment to support the film industry, actively supports the use of its property for this purpose subject to military security requirements. Agreements regarding terms and conditions and an appropriate charge are completed in respect of each company using the Department's facilities.
