Vol. 496 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

290 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11, for a scan; and if she is on the waiting list to be seen by an orthopaedic surgeon. [22785/98]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of St. Mary's Orthopaedic Hospital, Cappagh. I have asked the secretary manager of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

Ceist:

291 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to the Regional Hospital, Galway, for a scan; and the length of time she is on the waiting list. [22786/98]

The provision of hospital services to eligible persons in County Mayo in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
