Ben Briscoe

Ceist:

297 Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for Health and Children the financial and other provisions made for medical professionals employed by the health service who wish to do post graduate MBAs; and if the situation of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6W will be considered in this regard. [22843/98]

The provision of resources for third level education is a matter for each employing authority in the first instance. It is a matter for the chief executive of health boards or voluntary agencies to consider such applications having regard to, for example, the relevance of the proposal, the priority attached to it within the organisation and the availability of resources to fund or part-fund same.
