Written Answers. - Asylum Applications.
The following list sets out the number of asylum seekers who made their applications for refuge status in County Cork in each year since 1995: 1995, four; 1996, four; 1997, 20 and 1998, 18.
However, records in my Department are not maintained in such a way as to enable the information sought to be extracted from 1992-94 without the diversion of a disproportionate amount of staff resources which at this time would not be warranted.
