369 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will pursue with the Garda Commissioner the question of the provision of a patrol car for an extended area (details supplied) in County Wexford which has been seeking this for many years. [22575/98]
The detailed allocation of Garda personnel and resources to an individual area is a matter for the Garda authorities. They have informed me that an application has been received from the divisional officer which is at present receiving consideration.
The Garda authorities have also advised that the local district officer at Wexford has been instructed to ensure that the current allocation of vehicles within the district is utilised to ensure that as much attention as possible is paid to the sub-district in question.
