Vol. 496 No. 3

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

370 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the registered owner of a house (details supplied) in County Limerick. [22582/98]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the appropriate way to obtain the information sought by the Deputy is to lodge a mapping search in the Land Registry accompanied by the prescribed fee. The search should be in form 100 of the land registration rules 1972 together with a map, properly marked, on the current largest scale published by the Ordnance Survey. The map may be an original Ordnance Survey map or a Land Registry file plan provided such file plan is on the largest published Ordnance Survey scale. The fees payable are £4 per folio.

Alternatively, the Land Registry maps and folios may be inspected at the public counter in the Land Registry Office, Cork Road, Waterford. The fees for inspection are £1 per folio.

Ceist:

371 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if maps will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [22584/98]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that there is currently no application for copy maps pending on folio 3549F County Limerick. Two copy maps have issued recently but neither were to the person named by the Deputy. If he wishes to submit an application with the appropriate fee of £9, the Land Registry will deal with the application expeditiously.
