Ceist:421 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will allocate additional staffing to Drumphea national school, County Carlow, which is awaiting the allocation of a third teacher. [22540/98]

I am pleased to advise the Deputy that Drumpha national school recently received sanction for the appointment of an additional temporary teacher for the remainder of the 1998-99 school year. The board of management of the school was notified of this favourable decision on 21 October 1998.
