434 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will purchase sites for new primary schools, the erection of which has been approved; if he will furnish this information to the schools about to embark upon the acquisition and purchase of sites; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have signalled my intention to change policy in regard to site purchase for schools and indicated that I would be finalising an initiative in regard to State ownership. This represents a very significant policy change and consequently requires detailed consultations and discussions prior to implementation. When the initiative is finalised, I will make the details available.
