Vol. 497 No. 5

Written Answers - Dental Services.

John Perry

Ceist:

204 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will have to wait until he is 64 years of age before he can avail of a free dental plate; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that he would have to extract the remainder of his teeth to avail of a dental plate; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25362/98]

As the provision of dental treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
