286 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the reason Údarás na Gaeltachta will not give factory space to an employer (details supplied) in County Mayo with a 20 year proven track record of employ ment. [25773/98]
The issue in question is a matter for day to day decision by Údarás na Gaeltachta itself. I understand from an tÚdarás that it is not able to propose at present that space be made available for the relocation of the project in question having regard to negotiations taking place for available factory space in the area in question aimed at new job creation; and the position has been explained to the employer involved.
