Jim Higgins

Ceist:

206 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in a headage and 22 month beef premia payments for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the reason for the delay in payment of installation aid. [26665/98]

The area aid application of the person named has been processed. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

The person named has been deemed ineligible for installation aid. The deed of transfer was dated 16 October 1997. The closing date for the scheme, was 7 August 1997. The person concerned was informed of this on 30 November 1998.

207 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1998 sheep headage payments; and the reason for the delay in view of the fact that the herdowner was not contacted by the area aid unit. [26671/98]

209 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1998 headage and premia payments in view of the fact that he has been cleared for payment by the area aid unit. [26673/98]

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

210 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if an area aid application of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be processed. [26682/98]

An application was made by the person named under the beef cow and suckler cow premium schemes on 28 May 1998. He notified the Department that he had disposed of a cow and replaced her with an in-calf heifer. He was subsequently requested to provide documentation concerning the eligibility of the replacement animal. To date he has not furnished evidence of same. When this is provided his claim will be finalised.

The area aid application of the person named has been processed. He declared a forage area of 71.26 hectares, but an area of 70.36 hectares was found from the mapping process, and any livestock payments due will be based on 70.36 hectares. Payment of arable aid issued to the person named on 16 October 1998.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

211 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the area aid application of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be processed. [26683/98]

A problem has arisen in the mapping of some of the parcels of land claimed by the person named. Maps have been sent to the person to confirm the boundaries of the parcels with a view to resolving the problem.

Ivan Yates

213 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if area aid payments will be expedited for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and when payment will be made on the revised and adjusted land. [26685/98]

The person named applied under the November 1998 ten month special beef premium scheme in respect of ten animals. This application is the subject of a two month retention period which will expire at the end of January 1999. Under EU regulations, payment cannot issue before February 1999.

With regard to arable aid, a problem has arisen in relation to two new plots on the 1998 area aid application. A map has been sent to the person named with a view to resolving the problem.
