334 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress made to date in the case of a person (details supplied) who was murdered in France ten years ago; if his attention has been drawn to any new evidence presented which alleges a linking in this murder to a member of the French armed forces; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that as the crime in question was committed outside the jurisdiction, it was not, therefore, investigated by the Garda Síochána.

I understand that the Garda have made an inquiry regarding the progress made in this case with Interpol France, and that their response is awaited.

I have asked the Garda to keep me informed of developments.
