58 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the number and location of markets for Irish sea fish and fish products; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26578/98]

The total value of Irish seafood exports last year was £228 million, 74 per cent of which was attributable to EU markets. The main markets for Irish seafood products in order of importance are France, Spain, the UK, Germany and Italy. The following table details the market location, volume and value of Irish seafood exports in 1997.
