Written Answers - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49, that is, acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 30 September 1998. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, take some time to process.
I am further informed that the Land Registry has served notice of the application on a party whose interests may be affected by the application. If no objections are received within one month the case will be considered for completion.
However, I assure the Deputy that the Land Registry will do everything possible to expedite the resolution of this application.
