Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Connaughton

Ceist:

262 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position in relation to an area aid application for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. [28376/98]

The area aid application for the person named contained an additional plot of land. However, the applicant gave the incorrect townland name as the location of this land. He was contacted by telephone on a number of occasions to resolve this matter. The matter was finally resolved and any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

263 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when application forms in respect of grants for slatted houses will be issued. [28377/98]

The terms of a more focused scheme for the control of farm pollution are presently being finalised. I expect that these terms will be submitted to the EU Commission for approval early in February. The application forms will be available when the necessary approval is obtained.

Michael Moynihan

Ceist:

264 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when outstanding tillage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [28393/98]

The area aid application for the person concerned was a first time application. This required a field inspection to be carried out. This has now been done and the information and maps supplied by the person concerned have been processed. Payments will issue as soon as possible.
