Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

452 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when suckler cow headage and extensification payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2088/99]

The area aid application for the person concerned has been processed and any payments due will issue in the near future.

Ceist:

453 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a fodder grant will be paid for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2089/99]

To qualify under the 1998 winter fodder scheme a producer must be resident and have a herd number in one of the designated DEDs. The DEDs were designated on the basis of an examination by Teagasc of areas most effected by the bad weather.

As the person named did not fulfil this criteria he did not qualify under the winter fodder scheme 1998.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

456 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not received payment of 1998 suckler cow and ten and 22 month beef premia. [2092/99]

The area aid application of the person named has not been finalised as a map is required for one plot of land listed on the application. The applicant has been written to in this matter.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

457 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the balance of area aid payments will be expedited for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; when payment will issue; and the amount due in this regard. [2093/99]

The digitising of the maps received by the person named resulted in an overclaim. Payments were therefore calculated on a reduced area. Further maps have now issued to the person named in order to resolve the query. Any additional payments can only be processed when these maps have been returned to the area aid unit.
