531 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide funding to support a group (details supplied) who provide help to men dealing with mental breakdown and ill health; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28407/98]
The provision of a comprehensive range of health services, including health services to assist men dealing with mental breakdown and ill health in the County Meath area is the responsibility of the North-Eastern Health Board. Health boards, and in particular the North-Eastern Health Board, recognise the complementary role of voluntary organisations in the provision of support services to those provided by the boards. In these circumstances, the Men on the Move support group may wish to approach the North-Eastern Health Board with a request for funding to assist the organisation in its activities.
