Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

582 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be admitted as a matter of urgency to Tullamore General Hospital for a hip replacement operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1754/99]

The provision of health services to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
