The meeting I had with Commissioner Pádraig Flynn was routine. The Deputy, as a former Taoiseach, will be aware that the Commissioner calls on Taoisigh as a matter of courtesy on a regular basis and briefs them on European affairs in general and matters of importance to Ireland in particular.
