725 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will give approval to the Drummond to Killucan water scheme, County Westmeath, in view of the fact that the residents of the townlands and villages along the route of this scheme are waiting for approval; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2024/99]
The Mullingar regional water supply scheme extension to Taughmon Reservoir, which will serve Killucan, is included in my Department's water and sewerage services investment programme, 1999 as a scheme to start construction. Westmeath County Council is currently preparing an up to date report on the scheme's contract documents which were submitted to my Department a number of years ago.
