888 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make funding available for the provision of a general purpose room at Anablaha national school, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28438/98]

While I am anxious to extend the provision of general purpose facilities in primary schools, the priority must remain the provision of essential classroom accommodation and the elimination of existing sub-standard classrooms.
