994 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will sanction the purchase of a site at Lamville, Kildare, for the Gaelscoil that is currently operating from temporary rented accommodation and which services the needs of pupils from the surrounding towns; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 995 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when approval will be given for the new school site in respect of Gaelscoil Cill Dara, County Kildare; if this approval will issue in the near future; if his attention has been drawn to the overcrowding that exists at the school's present location; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1777/99]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 994 and 995 together.
My Department is currently investigating the suitability of the site at Lumville, County Kildare, to accommodate the proposed new school for Gaelscoil Chill Dara. When this investigation is complete, a decision on purchasing the site will be taken expeditiously in my Department.
