424 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will appoint a co-ordinator to support the process of whole school planning in schools; and the criteria being applied in the selection of a suitable candidate. [3702/99]
School development planning guidelines for primary schools will be published shortly and issued to schools. Guidelines for second level schools will be published later in 1999. I intend to appoint two co-ordinators, one at each level, to assist all schools on a phased basis, but initially those serving disadvantaged areas, in the implementation of the school development planning process.
