Written Answers. - Small Claims Procedures.
I am assuming the Deputy is referring to decrees made by the District Court in respect of claims which were initiated under the small claims procedure. I have no function in publishing any such decrees. It is open to the judgment creditor to register a decree made by the District Court in the central office of the High Court for a fee of £6. The register is open for public search for a fee of £3.50 per search.

Ceist:168 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to extend the small claims court limit from its present award limit of £600; and his views in this regard. [5431/99]
In line with the established policy in this issue, I propose that the monetary limit on small claims will be increased on a phased basis to £1,000. I expect to address the issue of increasing the monetary limit on claims which may be made under the procedure, which currently stands at £600, when my Department's review of the procedure is completed shortly.
