As the Deputy is aware, it is not the policy of my Department to comment on an individual prisoner's medical condition. However, I can assure the House that I am satisfied that the prisoner concerned, along with all prisoners in Portlaoise Prison, has received and continues to receive comprehensive, professional medical treatment for all his medical conditions and associated problems.
