Written Answers. - Sports Capital Programme.
The report of the review group on the sports capital programme was submitted to me in December last in the light of which I announced and invited applications under a new programme late last December. The deadline for receipt of new applications was 12 February 1998 and approximately 1,900 applications were received by the closing date. Based on the review group's recommendations, a revised application form and a new set of guidelines, terms and conditions have been introduced, copies of which, I understand, have already been supplied to the Deputy.
