Ceist:204 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will have his appeal immediately processed to enable payment of his subsidies to be released; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7828/99]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 187 and 204 together.
The herdowner lodged an appeal on 21 August 1998 concerning his 1998 cattle headage application. Two animals were rejected with a consequent reduced payment on the remaining eligible animals. The headage and premia appeals unit examined the appeal and found that the two animals should be deleted without further penalty. The herdowner was informed of the outcome to his appeal on 15 March 1999.
