Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - Vocational Training Services.

David Stanton

Ceist:

375 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the name, administrative organisation involved, address and number of trainees being trained in vocational training centres or workshops funded by his Department; the amount of funding provided to each in the past 12 months; the plans, if any, he has to expand the service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8101/99]

Currently a wide range of training activities is provided for people with disabilities by the health boards, State agencies and the voluntary sector.

These training activities differ in type and degrees of intensity depending on the disability focus. The associated funding can vary from service provider to service provider.

In the time available it has not been possible to collate the data in the form requested by the Deputy. I will, however, correspond directly with him about the matter in due course.
