417 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the support provisions for group water scheme committees to help cover the annual running costs of schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7932/99]
Subject to certain qualifying conditions, group water schemes are eligible for an annual subsidy of up to £75 per house in the case of a privately sourced schemes and up to £35 per house for publicly sourced schemes. The subsidy is administered by the local authorities.
