The property is owned by Údarás na Gaeltachta and the question of demolishing or refurbishing the building on it is a matter solely for an tÚdarás. I understand from an tÚdarás that a number of options for the site have been under consideration for some time. New fencing was erected in 1998 for safety reasons.
