While this archaeological site is not in State ownership, it is in State guardianship and is protected under the National Monuments Acts, 1930-1994. To assist the public in the appreciation and understanding of heritage sites in State care, Dúchas, the heritage service of my Department, has an ongoing programme in place to provide interpretative panels at all sites. It is proposed that interpretative panels will be provided at this site next year.
I have no proposals at present to provide visitor facilities or undertake any maintenance works at this site.
