560 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will provide a breakdown of all national lottery funding allocated by his Department in 1998; the individual bodies to which funds were allocated; the amount in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7927/99]

The information sought by the Deputy in respect of national lottery funding allocated by my Department in 1998 can be summarised as follows:

In addition, a further £396,795 was expended on the activities of the Irish Sports Council in 1998, including the establishment of a new office in Fitzwilliam Square and recruitment of six staff. Another £76,230 was provided for consultancy work by the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management.
