126 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a winter fodder aid payment. [8739/99]

The person named qualifies for assistance under the 1999 winter fodder scheme. My Department is currently finalising arrangements for this scheme and it is hoped that payment will be made within the next week.

Ceist:

127 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be finalised in view of his genuine error, the random inspection earlier in 1999 and his twice testing for tuberculosis which verify his herd numbers. [8740/99]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 8 February 1999 regarding his 1998 suckler cow premium/cattle headage application. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be dealt with in due course and the herdowner will be informed of the outcome.
