163 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have full 1998 area aid payments issued in view of the fact that he has rectified all data required in relation to his tillage area. [9090/99]
The area aid application of the person named was the subject of an on farm inspection. At this inspection the forage area was found to be less than that declared by the person named. As the difference between the area declared and found was less than 3 per cent of the area found, the forage area has now been processed based on the area found, without any additional reduction penalty. However, in respect of the cereals declared on the area aid application of the person named, as the difference between the area declared and that found at inspection was greater than 20 per cent no cereal aid can be paid under EU regulations.
