114 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Defence if Army records will be checked in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in relation to the clearance of his name; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8731/99]
Given the now very considerable elapse of time since the individual in question left the Defence Forces more than 20 years ago, the relevant records have been removed to storage. However, I will have these files reviewed in the light of the allegations raised by the Deputy, and I will communicate with him further at a later date.
