111 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Defence the number of claims for compensation excluding deafness compensation claims made by serving members of the Defence Forces in the years 1995 to 1999 by members of the forces and members of the public; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The number of claims for compensation, excluding claims for loss of hearing, made by serving members of the Defence Forces and members of the public in the years 1995 to 1999 were as follows: 1995, 252; 1996, 235; 1997, 295; 1998, 281; 1999 (to date) 51
